Rithu-Review

The movie is about three friends who were friends from child hood and pursue a career in IT.Sarath the hero, who is back from US after 3 years gap forces his friends to join a new IT firm that would help them realize some goals.Varsha though was committed to Sarath years back was mislead by the western lifestyle in bangalore and endsup in bed with most of her mates.Sarath soon feels that they were struglling to keep the same harmony that they three had before....Each were focussed on their own personal gains, though Varsha Still had a soft corner for Sarath.Sarath hailing from a communist family ,portrays many characterestics of an ideal hero. The rest of the story is how the the gap between them is exposed and move apart.

I would call this as a different attempt by Shyaamprasaad, using fast -trendy music, colorful frames especially the lake where they hangout looks very appealing. He even provides a proper ending to this movie without leaving the audience somewhat confused when the end credits come on.Music is very trendy and is absolutely apt for Rithu. The camerawork as mentioned also deserves credit.Performance wise most of the characters did well particularly the 3 leads. You can accept this as one being more related to IT field,as it atleast mentions many of the scenarios associated..(unlike kamals minnaminnikoottam IT).
One main negative i felt regarding the movie is the mallu accent that even the traditional mother in the movie uses. You can accept the new generation in IT using it but not their village based mothers.(Or is it that she was also just back from onsite???).The character is saraths mother ,her performance is ok but this accent makes it a bit wierd.Theres also a bit too much of exaggeration on IT lifestyles especially since its shown as happening in kerala....Just from the simple example of hugging opposite sex while saying good bye from a firm....how many firms in Techpark/Infopark u can see dis???

Crowd response was typical to an offbeat movie with laughters in senti scenes and comments filled the silence between the scenes.

On the whole 1st half is a bit dry, second half is better.Worth a watch.
